PAINTING TIPS
We recommend washable paints . If the walls are very often marked with fingerprints or splashes, you can easily remove the dirt using a sponge and water with a detergent and you will not get any damage. If you have children or pets, you will appreciate the benefits of washable walls every day. The washable paints will last longer and you do not have to scratch or penetrate the walls when you paint next time. You save both time and money.
• Not every colour is suitable for each substrate and use.
• Paint varies also in abrasion resistance and washability.
• Some materials create shiny surfaces and others mate.
• Mixing the same shade yourself for subsequent repair is not easy. Always use machine mixed paints.
• Consider the condition of the surface you are going to paint and what kind of room. Paint colour and room space should compliment each other.
Cold colours feel cool. They create the impression of purity, freshness, calmness and are usually used in bedrooms and offices. Their bright shades optically expand the space, however, darker shades should be used only in large and sunny rooms.
Colour is emotion and can speak to the human soul in many different ways. We know that it is an outward sign of your taste, mood and passion. Therefore, choosing the right colour is crucial when creating a home that expresses your vision and personality.
The cheapest solution does not always pay off because it might not bring the expected effect and will need to be repaired or repeated. The choice of shade is up to you, but always try the quality of the paint. This is the only one that guarantees that the result will be 100% and you will not have to paint again next year or the year after.
1. Matte Paint
Matte color is the most common of interior wall paints. There’s no shine or sheen to the finish, making it ideal for walls and ceilings where you don't want any visual distractions.
2. Matte Enamel
Matte enamel is very much like matte paint but tends to be far more durable. It’s much easier to clean and rarely needs retouching, giving it a great advantage, especially if you have young children. It is also excellent for the kitchen, where you’ll regularly need to wipe the walls.
3. Satin
Satin finish is somewhere between matte and gloss and produces a low, soft sheen. This makes it ideal for areas where you’ll need to clean the walls regularly; however, you shouldn’t use a satin finish where you have a wall with imperfections because it will make them more apparent.
4. Eggshell
An eggshell finish has a shine that’s extremely subtle but without the same smoothness as a satin finish. Thus, it doesn’t highlight imperfections quite as much, making it a much more suitable interior wall paint.
5. Semi-gloss
Semi-gloss is another common interior paint, although it’s more commonly used on trim rather than walls. It offers a hard finish, is suitable for heavy use and is easy to clean with just soap and water.
6. Gloss Paint
Besides matte paint, gloss paint is the most common interior wall paint. It’s one
you can use on most walls, although some people use it sparingly on these surfaces and prefer to use it on woodwork because of its high shine.
